He married ELIZABETH "BETTY" GARTH 1761 in Louisa County, (now Albermarle) Virginia, daughter of JOHN GARTH. She was born 1747 in Trinity, Louisa County, Virginia, and died 1807 in New Castle, Henry County, Virginia.
