OSCAR FREDERICK CRALL, the son of JACOB CRALL and ELIZABETH M. MELSHEIMER, was born December 19, 1843 in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio, and died on Saturday, March 28, 1908, at the old Crall homestead on 7 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. In 1876, Oscar's father Jacob Crall was elected mayor of Ashland Ohio.
On June 10, 1862, Corporal Oscar F Crall enlisted in Company B, Ohio 87th Infantry Regiment; and was mustered out on October 1, 1862 at Camp Delaware, Ohio. A VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR, Co. B 87th OVI and 23rd OH and 73rd Ohio, OSCAR FREDERICK CRALL married CATHARINE "KATE" MELISSA WAGES about 1866 in Knox County, Ohio, daughter of JAMES WAGES and MATILDA DRAKE. She was born October 21, 1849 in Fredericktown, Knox County, Ohio, and died February 17, 1934 in Cambell County, Kentucky.
